Living All Alone, Phyllis Hyman's 1987 work of art was her first album after abruptly being dropped by Arista, and going into another label. The songs on here could honestly rival great 80's R&B albums like Anita Baker's Rapture and Luther Vandross's Any Love. She bares her heart into great songs worth listening to like Screamin At The Moon, the simplistic You Just Don't Know and Old Friend. Her voice definitely shined into a new direction nicely, and the songs work as well to match brilliantly to match what she showed in her voice. One of Phyllis Hyman's best. This is now the 4th cd of "Living All Alone" I've bought, in addition to owning the original album from when it came out. Everyone hears it and keeps "borrowing" my copies. S'okay, glad to turn newbies on to this magnificent singer, gone too soon.
