Neon was pretty much more of the same pop/rock with folk-rock accents that the Cyrkle had delivered on their debut, Red Rubber Ball. As a result, the album's less worthwhile than its predecessor, and just doesn't measure up to the more substantial groups of the era, whether pop/rock or folk-rock ones.
