Composed By – Pat Metheny. 1-4. The Bat. Composed By – Pat Metheny. Tenor Saxophone – Mike Brecker. 모. Recorded May 26-29, 1980 at Talent Studios, Oslo.

His next album, Watercolors (ECM, 1977), was the first time he recorded with pianist Lyle Mays, who became his most frequent collaborator

From the disbanded Keith Jarrett American quartet came bassist Charlie Haden and tenor Dewey Redman - who alternates with and occasionally plays alongside tenor Michael Brecker - and Jack DeJohnette provides more combustible drumming than Metheny had ever experienced on record before. Yet Metheny's off-kilter wandering on solo electric guitar is a comfortable fit for the post-bop rhythmic crosscurrents of this music.

Artist: Charlie Haden, Jack DeJohnette, Dewey Redman, Pat Metheny, Mike Brecker. Pat Metheny - A Map Of The World A Map Of The World-Music From And Inspired By The Motion Picture, 1999 05:38. Pat Metheny, Pat Metheny, Lyle Mays, Steve Rodby, Dan Gottlieb, Nana Vasconcelos - Are You Going With Me?

Pat Metheny Format: Vinyl. Where are all these people who call themselves Pat Metheny fans? After all, this album was a major breakthrough in all respects, personel, instrumentation, composition, concepts, and musicianship, and was unparalleled at the time for Metheny, and is referred to as his musical "Bar Mitzvah" For me, this album is seriously underrated. An early Pat Metheny with assists from Charlie Haden, Jack DeJohnette, Dewey Redman and Mike Brecker.

80/81 is a double album by jazz artists Pat Metheny, Dewey Redman, Charlie Haden, Michael Brecker, and Jack DeJohnette, which was released in 1980. Metheny toured in the . in fall 1980 with a band including Redman, Haden, and Paul Motian. In the summer of 1981, he toured Europe with the full 80/81 lineup. All music composed by Pat Metheny except where noted. Pat Metheny – acoustic and electric guitars. Michael Brecker – tenor saxophone (on tracks I-1, 2; II-2; III-1, 2; IV-1).

Artists: Charlie Haden. Tracks count: 8. Views: 1. Charlie Haden, Jack DeJohnette, Dewey Redman, Pat Metheny, Mike Brecker, DEJOHNETTE JACK - Every Day (I Thank You) 13:21.

Pat Metheny, Charlie Haden & Billy Higgins – Change of Heart (Live at Jazzfest Hollabrun. :05. Pat Metheny & Charlie Haden – The Moon Is a Harsh Mistress. Charlie Haden/Dewey Redman/Jack DeJohnette/Michael Brecker/Pat Metheny – Ninpu Sentai Hurrucanger open. Pat Metheny – Story from a Stranger.

Pat Metheny, a fantastic jazz guitarist, has done it again. 80/81 is a fantastic double album. Jazz improvisations are sprinkled here and there, which a nice color to the album. It may not be Genesis and it may not e Miles Davis, but it's still great. Two Folk Songs, the -one song, (on my version the two songs are combined), is a fantastic, you guessed it, folk song.
